Leatherworking Changes from Battle for Azeroth to Shadowlands:
Leatherworking will be able to create both leather and mail Legendary armor pieces. The ingredients necessary to create these have not been fully revealed.
Each of the four major Covenant-controlled zones have their own Leatherworking armor pieces based on the local aesthetic, and each will use a zone-specific leather to create it.
Armor Kits have returned after a long hiatus (since Burning Crusade). These 2-hour buffs will add Stamina to chest, legs, hands and/or feet. If these work like earlier Armor Kits, you will be able to apply these to all four possible slots at once to receive full benefit.
Leatherworking Optional Reagents exist but have only been partially identified. These can be added to crafted armor for specific buffs.Star ranks for recipes have been greatly reduced in prominence.
Shadowlands uses several types of leather, hide, scales, and bones. This includes four leather gathers that are unique to each of the four Covenant-controlled zones. All Leatherworking armor gives either Agility or Intellect, depending on the class and spec using it.
