Enchanting Changes from Battle for Azeroth to Shadowlands:
Armor Enchants are back! Most armor slots now have Enchants once more.
Enchanted profession reagents are also back, this time with a new Cloth reagent used for Tailoring, as well as an Enchanted Leather and Ore.
You are now able to combine Enchanting reagents into their superior versions.
Gathering enchants are returned with a single enchant used to increased the speed of all gathering done in Shadowlands.
Like every expansion, Shadowlands has 3 new Enchanting reagents: a common-quality Dust, a rare-quality Shard and an epic quality Crystaç. However, this time, you are able to combine them into their superior parts! You can combine 3 Dusts into one Shard, and 3 Shards into one Crystal. As you're able to combine these pieces simply by right-clicking them, you do not need to be an Enchanter to do it.
In addition to this, shatter recipes are now available right from the beginning of the expansion. As usual, only Enchanters can shatter pieces into their lesser parts. Most armor sets have enchants for them once more! However, Enchants are currently quite limited, with only specific stats being usable in different slots.
A feature from Classic WoW, enchanted reagents are now back to Enchanting! These are used in advanced recipes for other professions. Shadowlands also bring two new wands created by Enchanting.
Shadowlands brings many changes to professions and one of the most exciting ones is Optional Reagents. With Optional Reagents, players can customize crafted pieces, currently limited to Tailoring, Blacksmithing, and Leatherworking pieces. Enchanting currently has 8 optional reagents, with only 1 of them having tooltips and the other 7 of them still on Placeholder stages. The one known optional reagent has a chance blast an enemy with additional Fire damage.
