What is a Shadowlands Pathfinder boost?

Riding skill levels and costs have been adjusted in Shadowlands, to account for the level squish.

The heirloom mount Chauffeured Chopper will continue to work from level 1 as normal. It is usable in all 1-10 zones, including Exile's Reach. One big question is whether characters who learned Expert Riding (base flying skill) in the current expansion will be able to fly in BfA, even if their level squishes to below level 30. This will happen to characters between level 60-79 (Shadowlands 25-29), as level 30 in Shadowlands equals level 80 in BfA.

Early reports from character copy indicates that if you learned Expert Riding in previous expansions, you will still know it when your level reduces to Shadowlands levels, so you will be able to fly between levels 25 and 30. Characters new to Shadowlands, or those below level BFA-60 who have not yet learned Expert Riding will still need to wait until Shadowlands-30 to learn to fly. Like all beta content, this may change before the expansion's release. Since level 10 in Shadowlands = level 20 in the current expansion, Apprentice Riding (normal riding skill) remains parallel.

While most of the requirements for Pathfinder in Shadowlands are still unknown. we do know that Covenant Renown, not faction reputation with several factions, will play a key role in unlocking flying in Shadowlands. This is a welcome simplification, because you won't be required to grind rep with several different factions. You'll be able to concentrate on a key focus for your Covenant activities, which is something you'd be doing anyway at max level. Covenant Renown will also have a built-in catch up mechanic for those who start late or who are unable to dedicate enough time to prioritizing Covenant abilities.

Pathfinder requirements for flying in Draenor and Broken Isles will be removed for Shadowlands. The requirements for Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder remain. This is a great chance for players who started late and did not get these flying achievements to experience flight in these zones.

The achievements Draenor Pathfinder, Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part One and Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two will still exist, and you will still be awarded the other perks ( Soaring Skyterror for Draenor and faster mount speed in Broken Isles), but it will no longer be required to unlock these to fly in these zones. Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part Two will still be required to fly in BfA zones. You will instead train the flying skill at level 30, from flying trainers.

Mounts are being constantly datamined as Shadowlands development progresses. Right now there“s no information about what is required to get any of them.
